Egyptians were famous for their artisan work. Their skills were evident in whatever they took up to do. They were well known for their skill in design. The burial caskets of the Pharoahs were done so beautifully and exquisitely. Egyptian jewelry boxes are sought after by people over the centuries.

In those days the craftsmen were always trying to please the Pharaoh. Cedar chests were big and yet very beautiful. There were beautiful designed ones as well as plain varnished ones. These chests are usually handed over from generations to generation and its a pride to own one of these.
